CYTO'S SPRING COMPRESSION design is the key to higher performance. It provides a reactive spring action compensating for thermal expansion and contraction, maintaining even pressure on the cable at all times. Think of CYTOLOK®'s contribution to the complete electrical system. Connectors link expensive switch gear and costly power cables. It is critical to use CYTOLOK, the best possible connector, the VITAL LINK. SPRING COMPRESSION makes CYTOLOK superior to all other connectors. CYTOLOK, connector technology's future. Today.

Cytolok
Multiple Position
POWER BAR
Patent Pending

  Designed to replace standard compression
lugs, CYTOLOK Power Bars drastically
reduce the time required for installation
and cable termination of three phase, pad
mounted transformers while providing
the superior reliability of "Spring
Compression". Extension spades and
compression tools are no longer needed.
CYTOLOK Power Bars become the bus bar
and are bolted onto two position, four
hole spades with the mounting hardware
provided and can be installed on either
the right or left side of the spade and in a
back-to-back configuration with just a
wrench. Available in cable sizes from 1/0
AWG thru 1,000 KCMIL.

Available in most cable sizes and
3, 4, 5, & 6 port configurations.

Power Bars will be shipped from the factory in protective shrink-wrap packaging with male tangs fixed in the open position, complete with mounting hardware. All Power Bars are universal and can be mounted on either the right or left side of the spade and in a back-to-back configuration. Hole spacing will be standard NEMA pattern.

Mounting hardware includes:

• Carriage bolts, with nuts and washers for closing down the Cytolok onto the cables (these will be captive to prevent loosening during shipment).

• Two Bellville washers with nuts and bolts for mounting the Power Bar to the top side of the spade.

• Two long bolts and washers to be used for closing down the Cytolok while connecting the Power Bar to the spade. These two bolts will be fastened using our unique, extension nuts, which will allow the use of shorter bolts.

Simply mount the Power Bar to the spade using the top two holes and the Bellville washers. If you're mounting two Power Bars on the same spade in a back-to-back configuration then you can mount them both at the same time with the bolts passing thru the spade. Inserting the cables into a Power Bar™ is much easier and a lot faster then using compression lugs and heavy tools. Simply insert the stripped cable into the Cytolok with one hand and tighten the nut with the other hand. Please note: In a back-to-back installation, the two long bolts will be used in the first two rear positions along with the special extension nuts. These bolts will pass thru the spade and close both the left and right Cytoloks at the same time.

Typical back to back Power Bar installation.
