ADAPT New Zealand Limited, was formed in 2003 to service the Electrical Power Industry within New Zealand and the Pacific Islands with a range of cost effective, innovative, reliable energy products and services.

Today ADAPT New Zealand’s Products are in service in over 50% of Energy Utilities in the Electrical, Rail, Gas, Water and mining sectors within the New Zealand and  Pacific markets,  and is serviced by our office in Picton, Marlborough, New Zealand.

Our High Quality, Innovative and Reliable products are sourced from both local and globally based Manufacturers and Suppliers. In keeping with our vision we choose to partner with Manufacturers and Suppliers who are highly respected for their technical expertise, service and support and their ability to provide innovative, low cost, high quality products that not only meet but exceed our Clients expectations in every way.

Meet the Team

Peter Sandars
Peter Sandars Group Managing Director
Peter has close to 50 years experience in the Electrical Power Industry commencing as an apprenticed Electrical Mechanic, Test Engineer and Sales Engineer working through to holding various Senior Executive Roles with overall responsibility of manufacturing, local and export sales for several Australian based HV & LV Switchgear manufacturers. Presently, Peter is Managing Director and Chairman of ADAPT Australia Pty Ltd, a specialist HV Equipment and Engineering Services Company that he founded and has co-owned since July 1992. Peter is a member of several Professional Associations and is a Fellow of the Australian Institute Of Company Directors.
Grant Sandars
Grant Sandars Director and General Manager
Grant has over 17 years experience in the Electricity sector, having commenced his career at Adapt Australia in 1999. Grant has an accounting and banking finance background joining Adapt from the Commonwealth Bank where he was a Small Business Lending Manager for over 10 years. Currently holding the position of Director & General Manager at ADAPT, Grant has a Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing & International Trade and an Associate Diploma in Banking & Finance from RMIT.
Steve Offord
Steve OffordManager Sales and Marketing (Adapt NZ)
Steve Offord has over 35 years experience in the Electrical Power industry with many varied and interesting jobs during that time. The last 10 years have been with Adapt NZ after joining the family in 2006. He currently holds the position of General Manager Sales and Marketing. Steve is committed to delivering quality products, quality service, quality support to all customers, and continuing to grow the Adapt business throughout all parts of New Zealand.
Daniel Cetrola
Daniel CetrolaEngineering / Technical Services Manager
Daniel began with ADAPT Australia in 2006 working alongside a team with a combined industry experience exceeding 100 years.
Daniel learned everything he could from these early mentors and combined with long projects in the field and having grown up surrounded by tradespeople, he supplements his engineering degree with good practical skills. He enjoys working with both engineers specifying equipment during the early stages of a project and the skilled personnel installing, operating and maintaining equipment long after commissioning. Outside of ADAPT Daniel enjoys learning as much as he can (on all topics) and acquiring new skills and believes all knowledge has a use.
